Mokiyup – Cambodia Sun Bear
Mokiyup came to us at the Phnom Tamao Zoo & Wildlife Rescue Centre in 2004. He was in a terrible condition and it was feared that he would not survive. He had been kept in atrocious conditions as an exotic pet with an enormous chain and padlock around his neck. He had been starved from such a young age that his growth was permanently stunted. Today Mokiyup has made an amazing recovery and has grown in both size and confidence.
